Glove Box 1
PureLab HE 4GB 2400 Glovebox System
Our three dual-port gloveboxes are stocked with all the reagents and solvents needed to start, conduct, and work-up air-sensitive reactions. Each is equipped with a coldwell for the conduct of low-temperature reactions, vacuum and high-presssure specialty gas inlets, electrochemical leads, a balance, and a temperature-regulated hotplate. Each glovebox is specialized for the general types of air-free chemistry we conduct.

Glove Box 2
PureLab HE 4GB 2400 Glovebox System
For standard glovebox chemistry, this nitrogen glovebox is used for oxygen-free chemistry with aprotic solvents.

Glove Box 3
MBraun Labmaster 130
Stocked with anaerobic alcohols, acids, and water, this nitrogen glovebox can be used for any type of oxygen-free chemistry.

Glove Box 4
VAC Nexus 1
For standard glovebox chemistry, this nitrogen glovebox is used for oxygen-free chemistry with aprotic solvents.

Solvent System
Glass Contour, SG Waters USA, LLC
Currently we have eight dry solvents on tap: tetrahydrofuran (THF), dichloromethane (DCM), acetonitrile (MeCN), dimethoxyethane (DME), diethylether, pentane, benzene, and dimethylformamide (DMF).

Electrochemistry Workstation
Pine Potentiostat
This entire setup is on top of a wheeled cart, so electrochemistry experiments can be done anywhere in the lab.

IR Spectrometer
Nicolet iS10

The instrument shown here is prepared for analyzing solutions or compressed pellets, however, we also have an Attenuated Total Reflectance attachment for analyzing neat liquid and solid samples that are stable to air.

UV-Vis Spectrometer
Cary-50
We have standard quartz cuvettes and also sealable cuvettes for samples prepared inside the glovebox. For experiments requiring continuous in-situ measurements, we also have a dip probe. This apparatus is also on a wheeled cart, allowing for UV-Vis spectroscopic measurements to be taken anywhere in the lab.

Biotage
Isolera One
Used for rapid product isolation for catalytic projects and new ligand development, the biotage has become a mainstay of our lab.

Gas Chromatograph
Shimadzu GC-2014
Our GC is equipped with a standard flame ionization detector (FID) and autosampler.

Photochemical Reactor
Rayonet

Group Computers
Dell, PC

These are available to all lab members for doing a variety of tasks, from printing papers to solving crystal structures.
